Parece que las bandas de trip hop se pusieron de acuerdo para volver en el 2008. es así que después de Portishead ahora es el turno de Tricky con un álbum llamado Knowle best boy, y luego del verano en el hemisferio norte será el turno de los que mejor prensa tienen, se trata de Massive Attack, el ultimo vértice del triangulo Bristol. En el caso de Tricky rompen un silencio de cinco años tras la edición del disco Vulnerable de 2003.
Si bien esta vuelta de Tricky no tiene la trascendencia que la de sus pares de Portishead y Massive Atack su vuelta tiene que ser celebrada. Los que han escuchado el disco dicen que es un trabajo en el que se evidencia la diversidad estilística de todos sus trabajos, pero con un elemento que sobresale del resto, en esta oportunidad hay muchas guitarras distorsionadas, muchos riffs cavernosos y ritmos sincopados primitivos.
Será cuestión de escucharlo y sacar nuestras propias conclusiones.
